The Last Few Days in Room 153
It is a very odd thing to consider leaving a place I thought I'd never say goodbye to. As I write this, I'm sitting in my bed with the covers pulled up to my chin. I think I will really miss room 153. I cannot believe I will soon walk down the long hallway and leave without returning, the hallway that smells faintly of Black Opium perfume, hair product, and vanilla cashmere.
My mom is flying in to move me out and then drive with me home this coming Wednesday, April 29th. My last exam is for anatomy and physiology, and I will be extremely happy to be done with that one. It is quite exhausting to study for such a demanding class and it's not easy when I am taking 18 credits! As of right now, I keep thinking about the beginning of my first semester. I had been so excited to see the end of the year! Now that I am here, I just don't know what to think. Time seems to be passing so slowly now that I only have a couple of days left as a freshman.
When I speak with friends about the summer, I always get asked about what my summer plans are. Usually, I roll my eyes and tell them about the three classes I'll be taking starting in June. Anatomy and physiology II will span the entire month (which will be crazy), and then I will take up lifespan developmental psychology and microbiology.
However, when I then I tell them about travel plans to the lake on the weekends and also my family's trip to Zion, it doesn't seem as stressful as I originally thought. Truly I am so ready to come home. I want to see my family and friends. And Lalo too, of course!
Until then, I need to lock in and focus on finishing this year off strong. My to-do list is getting checked off slowly by slowly, but it is finally coming to an end! I cannot wait to see my loved ones soon!
Signing off,
